How to connect TikTok Ads to Looker Studio: 3 options that work

There is no native TikTok Ads connector in Looker Studio. Compare partner connectors, scheduled reports into Google Sheets and CSV upload, with the tradeoffs.

Also available in: Português · Español

To connect TikTok Ads to Looker Studio you need something in the middle, because there is no native connector: neither Google nor TikTok publishes one in the gallery. That leaves three working options. A partner connector (Supermetrics, Windsor.ai, Porter Metrics, Catchr and dozens more) refreshes on its own and is usually paid. A scheduled TikTok report pasted into a Google Sheet is free and semi-manual. A direct CSV upload is fine for a one-off report. Here is how each one works, what it costs you in time, and which I would pick for a given setup.

Naming note: in April 2026 Google announced that Looker Studio is returning to the Data Studio name. Same product, now at datastudio.google.com.

There is a fourth route, TikTok's Marketing API. It requires an approved developer profile and an app that goes through TikTok's review. It only makes sense if you already have an engineer and a database to store history. For most media buyers that is a project, not an option.

I searched "TikTok" in the gallery in October 2026. The section of connectors built by Google has 21 entries (Google Ads, Analytics, Sheets, BigQuery, Search Console and other Google products). None is TikTok. The partner section returned more than 60 results, counting TikTok Ads, TikTok organic, TikTok Shop and multi-source connectors together.

The gallery carries its own disclaimer: partner connectors are not provided by Google, and Google makes no promises about their performance or quality. In practice, if a TikTok number in your report is wrong, the vendor answers for it, not Google and not TikTok.

Compare that with Google Ads, which has a native connector and takes five minutes (connect Google Ads to Looker Studio). TikTok sits in the same bucket as Meta Ads and X Ads: always through a third party.

Option 1: a partner connector

This is what I recommend once you report on TikTok for more than two clients. The flow is similar across vendors:

  1. In Looker Studio, Create → Data source and search "TikTok Ads".
  2. Pick the partner connector and authorize it on your Google account.
  3. Sign in to TikTok for Business inside the connector and select the advertiser accounts.
  4. Connect, check the fields, create the report. Most vendors ship a TikTok Ads template.

How to choose between dozens that look the same:

  • Does it carry the conversion you optimize for (instant form lead, pixel event, purchase)?
  • Can one data source hold several advertisers, or is it one source per account?
  • Does the trial let you build the whole report before paying?
  • Is pricing per account, per source or per user? Run the numbers for your client count six months from now.
  • Do you already use the same vendor for Meta Ads? One vendor for both keeps billing and support in one place.

The honest caveat: a connector solves the refresh, not the report. Layout, calculated fields and the explanation for the client stay with you. If you are weighing the pipe-plus-Looker model against a ready dashboard, Windsor.ai alternatives lays out the three categories.

Option 2: TikTok's scheduled report into a Google Sheet

This is the free route that holds up, as long as you accept one manual step. TikTok Ads Manager lets you schedule custom reports by email. Per TikTok's help center:

  1. In TikTok Ads Manager, go to Analytics → Custom reports and build the report (campaign, day, spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, cost per result).
  2. At the top right of the report, click Scheduled running and toggle it on.
  3. Choose frequency, recipients (up to 5 email addresses) and file format (xlsx or csv). Save.

The fine print, which shapes the whole process:

  • The email goes out after data processing, which TikTok says typically takes about 5 to 6 hours; delivery lands early morning in the ad account's time zone.
  • Only users with TikTok Ads Manager access can download the report. You cannot point the email at a generic automation and walk away.
  • If nobody downloads any report from a schedule for 3 consecutive months, TikTok cancels the schedule automatically.

So the workflow becomes: the report lands Monday morning, someone downloads it and pastes the rows under last week's in a Google Sheet tab, keeping the same columns. Looker Studio reads the sheet through the native Google Sheets connector, which is built by Google and refreshes every 15 minutes by default.

Two rules that keep the dashboard from breaking: never rename or reorder columns in the TikTok report once Looker is built on it, and keep one row per campaign per day. When a spreadsheet is still the right tool, and when it stops being one, is covered in spreadsheet, dashboard or BI.

Option 3: upload the CSV straight into Looker Studio

Looker Studio has a native File Upload connector for CSV. It suits one-time reports: a launch wrap-up, a quarterly review.

Google's limits: 100 MB per dataset, 2 GB of storage per user, and every file uploaded to the same dataset must have exactly the same structure. New files are appended to the existing data. To change columns you delete the earlier files or create a new dataset.

For anything recurring I prefer the sheet: fixing one bad row in Google Sheets is easier than re-uploading a CSV.

The TikTok-specific trap

Once TikTok sits in the same report as Meta and Google, the temptation is to add up conversions across the three and show one blended cost per result. Do not do it without checking what each platform counts as a conversion and under which attribution window. TikTok's conversions depend on the optimization event and the attribution settings of each account, and the same word means a different event on each platform. Put each platform in its own column and only add up spend. The longer version of this argument is in Meta and Google Ads in one dashboard.

What I would pick

  • One TikTok account, no tool budget: weekly scheduled report → Google Sheet → Looker. Block ten minutes every Monday.
  • Three or more clients on TikTok, branded monthly report: a partner connector, ideally the vendor you already use for Meta Ads.
  • A campaign wrap-up: CSV upload, once, done.
  • You want TikTok next to Meta and Google every day, not a report: skip Looker. A ready dashboard costs less upkeep; what belongs on the first screen is in the report clients actually read.

Next step

Before paying for any connector, run option 2 with one account for two weeks. If you keep forgetting to paste the file, you need the connector. If the report also includes X Ads, the paths are similar but the limits differ; see connect X Ads to Looker Studio. And if what you wanted was to ask about TikTok in plain English without building anything, the Claude connector does that today.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an official TikTok Ads connector for Looker Studio?

No. As of October 2026, the Looker Studio gallery (now Data Studio) had no TikTok connector built by Google or by TikTok. Every TikTok Ads connector listed is a partner connector, from vendors such as Supermetrics, Windsor.ai, Porter Metrics, Catchr and Two Minute Reports.

Can I get TikTok Ads into Looker Studio for free?

Yes, the manual way: export a custom report from TikTok Ads Manager as CSV or xlsx, paste it into a Google Sheet, and connect the sheet with Looker Studio's native Google Sheets connector. Someone has to update the file. Some partner connectors also advertise free plans; check each vendor's limits.

Do TikTok's scheduled reports update a Google Sheet automatically?

No. TikTok emails the custom report on the schedule you set, to up to 5 recipients, as xlsx or csv. Only users with TikTok Ads Manager access can download it, so a person still moves the file into the sheet.

Does Vazante connect TikTok Ads to Looker Studio?

No. A Looker Studio integration is planned with no date. Vazante connects TikTok Ads to its own dashboard, next to Meta and Google Ads, and to Claude and ChatGPT, where you can ask about your campaigns in plain English.
