Windsor.ai free plan: what you get and when you outgrow it
The Windsor.ai free plan covers 1 user, 1 source and 1 account. Who fits inside it, the exact moment you outgrow it, and what to compare before paying.
Also available in: Português
The Windsor.ai free plan gives you 1 user, 1 data source and 1 account, as of September 2026, plus a 30-day trial with more before you settle on it. That is enough to move one Meta ad account into a Looker Studio report or a Google Sheet and keep it synced. It is not enough for a second platform, a second client or a second person, and any one of those moves you to the Basic plan at US$ 23 a month (US$ 19 on annual billing) with 3 sources and 75 accounts. Check windsor.ai/pricing before you decide, because the terms change. Below: who fits inside the free plan, the exact moment you outgrow it, and what to compare before upgrading, including an alternative if you only run paid media.
What the Windsor.ai free plan includes
Windsor.ai is an ETL: it pulls data from a source (Meta Ads, Google Ads, a CRM, one of 350+ connectors) and pushes it into a destination (Looker Studio, Google Sheets, BigQuery, Power BI, Snowflake, Tableau) on a schedule. The report itself lives in the destination and you build it. The free plan is the same product with three hard limits.
| Free | 30-day trial | Basic | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Users | 1 | More than the free plan | Unlimited |
| Data sources | 1 | More than the free plan | 3 |
| Accounts | 1 | More than the free plan | 75 |
| Destinations | Check windsor.ai/pricing | Check windsor.ai/pricing | Looker Studio, Power BI, Google Sheets, BigQuery, Snowflake, Tableau |
| Destination tasks | Check windsor.ai/pricing | Check windsor.ai/pricing | Up to 5, daily sync |
| Price, as of September 2026 | US$ 0 | US$ 0 | US$ 23/mo, or US$ 19/mo on annual billing |
Two honest gaps in that table. I have not verified exactly what the trial unlocks beyond "more", and I have not verified which destinations the free plan allows after the trial ends, so those cells send you to the source. Everything else was on windsor.ai/pricing as of September 2026.
Who fits inside the free plan
The free plan is built for one person, one platform, one account. That describes more people than it sounds like.
- An in-house marketer with one Meta ad account who wants spend and results in a Looker Studio page the boss can open. One source, one account, one user. Fits.
- A freelancer with one client on one platform, say a single Google Ads account, who needs the numbers in a Sheet for the monthly invoice. Fits.
- Someone evaluating Windsor.ai before recommending it to a team. The 30-day trial is for exactly this; the free plan is where you land afterwards, and it is enough to keep one feed alive while you decide.
What "fits" means in practice: you connect the account, pick the destination, build the report once, and the sync keeps it current. For a single account that is a fair deal.
The exact moment you outgrow it
There are three doors out of the free plan.
Door one: the second platform
You run Meta Ads for a client and they ask for Google Ads too. That is a second source. The free plan allows one. There is no partial step; the next plan is Basic, listed at US$ 23 a month, or US$ 19 on annual billing, as of September 2026. Basic allows three sources, so Meta, Google and TikTok fit inside it, and the fourth platform is what pushes you up again.
Door two: the second account
Same platform, second client. Two Meta ad accounts are two accounts, and the free plan allows one. This is the door freelancers hit: the second client arrives before the second platform does. Basic allows 75 accounts, so once you are on it, account count stops being the constraint for a long time.
Door three: the second user
A teammate needs to log in. The free plan is single-user. Basic lists unlimited users, so this door and the other two lead to the same place.
The pattern: the free plan's ceiling is the number one, three times over. If you only ever operate one account on one platform by yourself, it holds. The first time any of those becomes two, you are on Basic.
What "source", "account" and "user" mean for the bill
These three words decide your plan, so define them before you count.
- Source is a platform type. Meta Ads is one source whether you have one ad account or forty. Google Ads is another. TikTok Ads is a third. A CRM or a store is a source too.
- Account is one account inside a source. Eight Meta ad accounts from eight clients are eight accounts in one source.
- User is a login on the Windsor.ai side. The people who read the Looker Studio report are not Windsor users; only the people who manage the connections are.
The consequence: Windsor.ai's tiers move with the variety of platforms, not with the number of clients. A ten-client agency on Meta and Google alone is at two sources and twenty accounts, comfortably inside Basic. A two-client agency on Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn is at four sources and already above Basic. Count sources first.
What to compare before upgrading
Before you pay for Basic, or for anything else, answer five questions. They take an afternoon.
- Do you need a destination at all? The upgrade buys more sources and accounts flowing into Looker Studio, Sheets or a warehouse. If nobody opens that destination except you, the pipe is feeding nothing. A dashboard product or an AI connector answers the same questions without the plumbing.
- Which platforms did you actually pull from last month? Not which ones you could. If the answer is Meta, Google and maybe TikTok, you need three sources, and a catalog of 350 is not what you are paying for; Supermetrics alternatives makes the same point from the other side.
- Who builds and maintains the report? With an ETL, that is you. Price your hours honestly. If a field changes on Meta's side, you fix the query and then the chart. Meta Ads reporting lists what actually belongs in that report, which is usually less than the template shows.
- Does anyone need to act on the numbers? An ETL is read-only by design. If the reason you open the report is to decide what to pause, the upgrade will not shorten the trip to Ads Manager.
- Which currency do you bill in? Windsor.ai bills in US dollars. If your business runs in another currency, add exchange and card fees to the list price before comparing.
If the answers are "yes, a warehouse", "many platforms", "we have an analyst", "no, we just read" and "dollars", upgrade. That is Windsor.ai's audience and it serves them well. If the answers lean the other way, keep reading.
The alternative for paid-media-only teams
If you only run paid media and the report exists so someone can decide what to do, the category you want is not a pipe. Vazante, which I built, is a Brazilian product built for Meta, Google and TikTok Ads, with the interface available in English. Instead of a source-to-destination sync, it gives you a ready panel and a connector that lets Claude or ChatGPT read the numbers live and, on Meta and Google, act with guards. Pricing starts from US$ 23 a month on the annual plan, billed in your own currency. The Basic plan covers four connected accounts and one user with read-only Claude access, and it has a 7-day trial with no card.
Free plan, Basic plan, or a different category
| Windsor.ai Free | Windsor.ai Basic | Vazante Basic | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sources or connectors | 1 | 3 | Meta Ads, Facebook Pages, Instagram, Google Ads, TikTok Ads |
| Accounts | 1 | 75 | 4 connected accounts |
| Users | 1 | Unlimited | 1 |
| Where the report lives | Your destination, built by you | Your destination, built by you | Ready panel plus the Claude or ChatGPT chat |
| AI access | Its own MCP; check which plans include it | Its own MCP; check which plans include it | Native MCP for Claude and ChatGPT, read-only on this plan |
| Acts on campaigns | No, by design | No, by design | Not on Basic; from Executive, on Meta and Google, with guards |
| Price, as of September 2026 | US$ 0 | US$ 23/mo, US$ 19 annual; check windsor.ai/pricing | From US$ 23/mo on the annual plan, billed in your own currency; 7-day trial, no card |
| Best for | One account, one platform, one person | Several clients on up to three platforms feeding a BI or Looker report | Paid-media-only teams who ask questions and act |
The middle column is a good deal for its audience. The point of the third column is not that it is cheaper or better; it is a different category, and the question is which one your Monday morning needs.
An illustrative example
An example to show the logic, not a quote. A freelancer starts with one client on Meta and lives happily on the free plan. In month three a second client arrives, also on Meta. Door two: Basic, US$ 23 a month, or US$ 19 on annual billing, as of September 2026. In month six the first client adds Google Ads: still inside Basic's three sources. In month nine a third client wants TikTok: still three sources, four accounts, fine. Nothing changes on the invoice until a fourth platform appears.
What did change, quietly, is the work. Four accounts across three platforms means four Looker Studio pages to maintain and, every morning, a report that says "pause this" and a separate trip to Ads Manager to do it. Windsor.ai alternatives sorts out whether that workload is the price of a warehouse you need, or plumbing you could drop. And if the daily question is "which campaign has the most expensive lead?", CPL explains why the answer depends on how each tool defines a lead, which is worth checking before you compare any two numbers.
Where to start
If you have one account on one platform and you are the only reader, take the Windsor.ai free plan and build the report once. If the second platform or the second client is already on the calendar and you have a warehouse or a Looker Studio report people actually open, Basic is the honest upgrade; confirm the current terms on windsor.ai/pricing. If you only run Meta, Google and TikTok and the report exists so you can act, start a Vazante trial, connect the accounts and add the connector following the connect Meta Ads to Claude guide. The Windsor.ai alternative page has the side-by-side, plans are on pricing, and Windsor.ai MCP server covers what its AI analysis answers and what it cannot execute.
Frequently asked questions
Is Windsor.ai free?
There is a free plan. As of September 2026, windsor.ai/pricing listed it with 1 user, 1 data source and 1 account, plus a 30-day trial with more. Paid plans started at US$ 23 a month, or US$ 19 on annual billing. Check the official page, because terms change.
What counts as a source and an account in Windsor.ai?
A source is a platform type: Meta Ads is one source, Google Ads is another. An account is one account inside a source, such as one Meta ad account. The free plan allows one of each, so one Meta ad account fits and a second Meta account or a Google Ads account does not.
When do I outgrow the Windsor.ai free plan?
The moment you add a second platform, a second account or a second user. Meta plus Google is two sources; two clients on Meta is two accounts. Either one moves you to the Basic plan, listed at US$ 23 a month (US$ 19 annual) with 3 sources and 75 accounts as of September 2026.
Is there a free alternative to Windsor.ai for Meta Ads reporting?
Looker Studio is free but needs a paid partner connector for Meta Ads. Vazante is not free, but it offers a 7-day trial of the Basic plan with no credit card, then starts from US$ 23 a month on the annual plan, billed in your own currency, for four connected accounts across Meta, Google and TikTok Ads.
Does the Windsor.ai free plan include the MCP for AI analysis?
Windsor.ai has its own MCP for AI analysis, but I have not verified which plans include it. Check windsor.ai before assuming the free plan covers it. Vazante's connector for Claude and ChatGPT is included from the Basic plan, read-only, with write actions from the Executive plan.
